SKS, where have you been all my life.

Where can you get a SKS for $180

it's like $400 at Cabela's now,

the average is around $400

I bought a 5 pack before Xmas.

They were actually $189.99.

After the BAN the the retailer's noticed increases in orders because it wasn't on the ban.list so they started gouging us.

I wish I had bought 100 of them.

As they went up 2x in value....better than Gold!!!

Apparently your Cabela's had a special deal.

I sold my SKSs for $300@ to make cash and safe room for a couple of basic ARs. Well we all know how great a decision that was.

My SKSs were hand picked beautiful examples from LeverArms 2009 import. Now I can’t bear to buy another SKS @ $400 sight unseen.

With the Turd’s WE charity booboo, that’s Strike 3 BTW, I hope the OIC is over turned

Sks Sight Secrets Accuracy Changers
As a shooter who has been shooting SKS for years because im cheap. I have found 2 accessories that have been accuracy changers for an SKS.
The first for open sight shooters is the tech sight 200. It increases the sight plane by 10 in and is adjustable for windage and elevation , that 10 inch difference of sight distance really improves the accuracy of the rifle.
The second is the magwedge gen 3 sight rail, It allows you to use stripper clips as well as mount a decent optic.
Third, In addition to the above fibre optic front sights are available for low light conditions.
As far as ammo goes you can shoot a lot of surplus ammo even corrosive before you will wear out a barrel (10,000rds/ more? Ive never shot out a SKS Barrel . If you wear out a barrel what are you out $250.? Buy surplus its cheap , have fun , and get others interested.
My 2 cents

I love my SKS’!!! I bought a few of them on the Cabelas $189 deal to give away as gifts to friends. Amazing value and so much fun. All the refurbs benefit from shimming the stock so it’s tight against the receiver. I do this by tapping metal or wood shims in behind the trigger group latch and the stock after its assembled but the trigger group still out. Then snap the trigger group back in and it’s set. It’s quick and easy to do and accuracy is always better.

Some polishing and trigger job does wonders for some as well.

The only one I let go that I truly regret is this one I Bubbad myself. It was the most accurate one I’ve had through my hands. It went to a good friend who still has it so I’m not complaining.

That thing would hit a 4” gong at 100 M with that red dot 10/10 every time with any corrosive cheap Milsurp ammo I had. What a fun rifle!
