SKS with Gold Finnish Bayonet.

I have 2 SKSs with a gold bayonet. If you look closely at bayonet you will see where the blade has been dipped into something. I too was wondering about it and noticed on both bayonets the tell tale marks of where it was dipped.

I think the refurbisher was drunk on wodka, and took a leak on the hot bayos as they came out of the grinder! Seriously, they do look nice with the shiny finish whether yellow or plain metal, love all the differences in these little beasts!

One is Matt finish or coated and the other polished with the yellow coating, shiny one is purdyer but both nice sks! The finishes and coatings, Cosmo or not were likely put on to prevent corrosion, I have seen some shiny polished ones without a finish have some light corrosion and even rust!

i dont think theyre THAT rare. westrifle has had them and usually has them in stock, i like to be people to see the exact rifle im choosing. each rifle has its own group of pictures listed there

I saw tonnes of them on SKS' in crates during the SKS flood of 2012-13. You don't see them as much anymore because they're in people's safes who don't clammer to the forums to show them off.
They aren't gold either, more like a metallic piss. Same colour as grandpa's 97' Camry.

Picked up one of Weimajack's last "non-refurbed", a gold bayonet letter series SKS' a couple years back - they were going for just under $300 then. It cleaned up so nice haven't been able to bring myself to shoot it lol. See them come up on EE fairly regularly.

I hate that colour. It looks like a frankenstein bayonet.
