About $380. You only get the $75 sks if you buy the crate of ammo (which you'll need anyways), as well as shipping.

I have 2 of them, they are great rifles! They come from marstar in pieces though, so it is a good opportunity to learn how the gun fits together (so you can take it apart for cleaning). Lots of videos on YouTube. They come packed in cosmoline, so some extensive cleaning is required as wel, but pretty much all "new" sks are.

ya, i get the combo deal thing... not a problem... im just wondering if marstar is the cheapest way to get an sks and 1440rds?

i just decided to get one, so i havent been shopping around. figured might as well ask folks here.

If you just want the gun for now and then pick up ammo later then tradeex or others are a good way to go, or even your local gun store, depending on where you are and what province you could save shipping and pick out your sks in person!

The Marstar deal is tough to beat. However you might get lucky at a gun show and find a decent Russian for under $200 and ammo by the half case and save a few bucks that way. You know about the hot water treatment after shooting cheap corrosive ammo, right?

was just explained that from a CT empoyee who answered my phone call (to get ammo price)

Just as a suggestion , you may be better off buying a Soviet era SKS as they may become a little harder to get in the future due to the Ukraine situation , and the Soviet SKS is a little nicer gun to start with . Then you can shop around and maybe find some non-corrosive ammo with cheap or free shipping , maybe at Canada Ammo........when looking for an SKS , the ones with laminate stock are a little more rare and look nice......I bought four myself...

thanks everybody for all the advice.
ive placed and order with TradeEx for a dark wood russian sks, with 1440rds of ammo, for 389+tx, free shipping.

Good choice. Better deal than Marstar, once you figure in the cost of shipping.

Also, TEC processes and ships usually within a day. Marstar processes and ships... when they get around to it.
