OP, many of the dealers with banners at the top of the page have darn fine SKS rifles for sale.
If your main concern is to save a couple of dollars get over it quickly. I would suggest one of the socalled Super Grade rifles carried by one of the banner members or even such places as Lever Arms. Canada Ammo has some Super Grade rifles listed for $299. Hell of a deal. You don't have to worry about getting a great specimen for either collecting or shooting. They may be a few dollars more but with an iron clad guarantee and really decent people to deal with, it's well worth the extra $50.
Here is one other thing to remember. These rifles soon won't be available at the current pricing we enjoy. I have heard rumors that dealers in Europe with remaining stocks are holding them in hopes that the US will be lifting some sanctions. It's a gamble. IMHO prices in Canada will sooner, rather than later, be the equivalent of those in the US where a field grade Chinese SKS sells for US$300 and the select grades we get here in Canada for $300 sell for $US600 in the US.
Times are achanging. Get prepared to pay a lot more than we have in the past. The US collectors are driving up prices on ex ComBloc firearms and accessories. The prices they pay for rack grade Mosins makes most Canadians shudder. They are picky of course. They have finally woken up to the value of Japanese surplus as well. South American Mausers in the US have tripled in price over the last two years.
Look at the price of a Remington 700 CDL from any of the big box stores. $1000+C.
Get a decent one while you can. Just about any Super Grade being offered will be one of the best available at this point. Get a crate of ammo as well and learn how to properly clean and dismantle your rifle after shooting corrosive primed ammo.
Now, do you have a PAL????? Your question is so vague, it leads me to wonder. I'm willing to bet you do but your question also leads me to believe you haven't had the chance or taken the time to go to a local gun shop or big box store to look at the offerings.
Again, if you don't trust your own knowledge check with people such as Canada Ammo in the top banners or one of the others. They are pretty responsible IMHO and will treat you well.
