Hey everyone

A friend from work told me about gun nuts canada. I'm interested in a Russian SKS with a detachable clip if possible. Willing to pay up for a "still in the grease" rifle.

Not very likely

If you want a virginal still-in-the-grease SKS, it'll be tough to find a Russian one. Marstar (a sponsor at the top of the page) has genuine Chinese Army brand-new SKS carbines brand new from decades ago. Mine is excellent.

Better edit your post to say "detachable magazine" before the CGN Terminology Task Force strings you up! Check some of the site sponsors at the top of the page and the EE. Theres lots around.

Clip-mag Let's give this a flukcin rest, we know what he means!!!

Still limited to 5 by law, and running stripper clips is actually faster than full blown mag changes for the average guy. Fewer steps involved.

:D I'm just trying to warn him before he gets attacked! Stripper clips are faster but detachable mags are funner. Its not always about what works best.

X2... They are awesome with chromed barrel, matching numbers and can take a detachable by simply taking out the factory mag while cleaning, and installing a removable mag.

I got mine from Marstar last week and am impressed with the rifle and how easily the detachable 5/10 mag fits in.

It can also be fed by the 10 round stipper clip.... its good to have options:D

If you want easier magazine changes buy yourself an sks-D.

The detachable duckbill magazines for the fixed mag sks variants are awkward/clumbsy to change out often.

Got one of those too, but at the prices people want they kill the SKS bargain. Theres also that little block that lets you cut off most of the duckbill.

Aye, welcome to CGN, but remember there are strip clips and detachable magazines, but no detachable clips, LOL! We don't want to upset any of the eastern Canadian firearms establishment with improper terminology, do we? :)

They all have a detachable clip:
