SKS's Chinese compared to Russian?

I have some of both. My mosta ccurate one is Chinese, but that is from a small sample.

The Russian ones look a bit nicer. The wood has more character.

I agree with Ganderite, I have examples of both but the most accurate of the bunch is a plain Chinese military one in a military Red Chinese Fibreglass stock. It easily puts 5 shots into 2 inches at 100 yards. I also found that it had the tightest bore of the lot and it has rifling as smooth and clean as glass as well, no signs of imperfections or machining marks whatsoever.

I'd have to say "it depends" - if you're comparing a Chinese Military SKS to a Russian, frankly I like the Chinese, they shoot well and work like, well an SKS. If however you're talking about the so-called "commercial" SKS's sold in the '90's, with the pinned barrels - not so much.

I have both pinned and screwed barrel examples. I can't tell the difference in accuracy. Both are good/equal. Can't go wrong with either.
