SKS's In Maple Ridge

Wanstalls Hunting Shop in Maple Ridge has received it's shipment of SKS's. They quoted me $250 over the phone. They ship Canada wide. Their website is their name, Wanstalls, then dot com. I wouldn't contact by email because:

a. They might respond after they are gone
b. They might realize the demand and raise their price before they reply

yes black carriers does means refurb, but now IZH has also started shipping black carriers , the only way we would know who the importer is, is to look at the mag block.

The mag block on mine is a small piece of round stock welded to the follower bar.

When did Wanstalls ever have SKS'? I went in there looking to buy a shotgun with my brother, when we asked about the SKS the guy started nockin on em pretty hard, and comparing it to his CZ 858 which he had sitting on the rack behind him. Found the shotgun we were looking for though

I think buddy had too much of a hard on over his CZ if anything, I mean, why else would be bring it in and not sell it.

Probably didn't have SKS's and he wanted to make a sale. They told me they ordered them over a year ago, probably when everyone else ordered them. I'm guessing a supplier said I can get them, any takers?... and a bunch of stores said "I'm in". When I heard they were in Victoria, I figured Wanstalls would have them too. I called and Bingo.

spoke to wanstalls today and they said they have about 15 refurb at $255 .

For some reason, I think SIR is right about their price on SKS. $169 is very reasonable for a refurb Russian SKS. $255 is way too much.

They raised the price $5 or the lady I spoke to made a mistake....weird.

Wanstalls was bought by some new people a while back. They're more into the shooting sports now. You probably were there with when the old people owned it when they mocked SKS's
I was in there the other day.
They're russian SKS's and they look really really good. There's one in there that the wood is so dark its almost black. Maybe I'll go in there tomorrow and take a picture for you guys.

This was actualy only 2 weeks ago now that I went in there, they didn't even tell me they were getting any in, which I'm more disapointed about now that I've orderd one in and I could just have gotten one localy, not that it makes a diff in the long run.

They had a rifle posted on there website @ 1 price so I went there & they decided that the website price was to cheap and that they had to charge me double. These pricks will never see another dime from me.
