SKS's to buy? Then to shoot or not to shoot

Hey everyone, kinda wanna get a a bunch of opinions of what to buy. I have one 1954 Tula, apparently un issued and appears it could be the case, however there has been a forced match of a Laminate stock, no other refurb markings, next to NO scratches and super clean, and a 1949 stated as refurb Tula from westrifle that has no refurb markings, numbers matching no forced number match and also very clean, now the plan is to not shoot these two and I am on the hunt for a few more, one maybe two shooters and maybe a few more collectibles. Looking at a 51 un issued and an IZZY 54 refurb (clean) among a couple more 55 Tula. Now, the budget is not un limited and with my muzzle-loader purchase in January and 2 sks's in the last week there is not much left for $$. What should a guy buy and what is the opinion of a fair $$$ VALUE,and what to shoot or not too shoot?Opinions?? THANKS FOR THE ANSWERS TO THE NOOB QUESTIONS
 
'54 Tulas are the most common Russian SKS out there, and yours is a refurb with the laminate stock. Shoot it! If you really don't want to shoot your Russians, get one of the Type 56/ammo combo deals and blast away with that.
 
I heard the 49 and 50 are among the rarest.
I have a 50 all matching with a factory spring loaded firing pin a it
is not chrome lined.
Im not firing it, can anybody tell me what it could be worth as a collector.

No exact number can be given yet as, but some sellers tend to up the price prematurely. It will get interesting when the flow stops. As far as I know the top-o-line collectors are 49' 50' early '51 '55 and extremely late '56 laminate Tula, and of course '53 and '54 Izhevsk.

A 1950,unissued/or non-refurb unfired since refurb will sell for $300 on the high price. Ofc in U.S were they are starving about SKS's, would be a $1000 rifle. Last year,on gunbroker, a 1949,heavy refurb,blade bayonet,later type gas block,painted, sold for around $800 U.S if i remember well and i'm sure that was considered a fair price down there.... still for an un-correct 49. Right now, they are crying seeing us with such a nice lot of SKS's we can have.

Sorry, I guess I didn't proof read my post, my SKS with the laminate stock is a 53, not a 54. That's what you get typing on an iPhone with FAT fingers and not proof reading you post, thanks for the info so far.
 
Grab 'em up now while they're still cheap! You'll be complaining in 10 years how you should have bought them now!
