Skull Island ( King Kong movie )

I love how he ask to set up the 50, after they are walking through the jungle for hours, but you never see it until then. Massive weapon with very heavy bullets, but the magic of the movies. Making the pretend world a reality.

I had the opportunity to go down to orlando and see universals new attraction (based on this movie I think). I was there for business and got to speak with the chief engineer of the attraction. Looks like an awesome movie, would like to see it!

Buy why was he using a ballister molina or whatever that 9mm 1911-looking pistol was? Must have been due to the foreign filming location?

I noted 4 changes to the rifle through out the flick

When he first used it it was un-scoped and had a full auto selector switch and even used it in full auto for one shot.

In another scene he has it scoped but the crazy part was ( I swear its what I saw ) the scope mount was on the right side of the rifle as opposed to the left but then changed over to the left in another shot lol, probably due to the actual film being flipped.

The scope was quickly gone by the next scene. At one point the rifle had an M1 Garand butt plate and then changed over to a proper M14 butt plate later on.

And in one final close up of the rifle it has changed fully over to an M1A, solid stock no selector switch or even hole for it in the stock, and connector rod gone as well.

Thanks, I thought I was going crazy seeing the M1 buttplate

What would you need against animals that size?

Semi auto or auto 50cal?
Mk 19 40mm belt fed?

Or stay far away and use drones with hellfire instead?

I thought the exact same thing. Where did the 50 come from ? Must've been one of those special Hollywood 50's that can be packed in a nappy sack

Just remember not every movie will come as close to John Wick with rifles and handguns, take Kong: Skull Island for what it is and not nitpick everything about firearms
