Hi,
I have a slavia 620 in .177, its in great shape, was made in 1968.
I feel it needs a new main spring or complete piston/spring kit.
I checked its velocity on my Chorny and its shooting 325 fps max now.
Somebody could tell me where can I find its spring or any good gun smith to install the spring near GTA area?
thanks

Yea I got a slavia 630 model 99made in checkloslovakia which is better than the ones made in canada apparently the ones made in cheoslovakia are 560 fps

Hm, I didn't know they made the 630 in Canada….. you can try D&L air guns, they will ship what you need. Maybe Umarex in the U.S. I have successfully ordered from both. Do keep that 620. I was shooting my sons 624 yesterday, great little air rifles.

I have had a few. All from 1971. ones from the sixties have leather piston seals, can be home made with the right material, time and effort. D&L airgun carries BSA meteor mainsprings that will work with a bit of extra punch (let them know you are using it for a slavia 620, they will ask what MK meteor but don't think it matters). Breech seals are also good to replace made from leather as well. Very easy to tear down, slight precharge in the spring just be careful when unscrewing the end cap, installing the new spring will require elbow grease and recommend using a leather glove. If the piston seal is not completely destroyed soak it in silicone and neets foot oil for a few hours

Stock velocity 600-650 fps

The salvia 630 that are sold in Canada are made in Czech Republic.. but they are de-tuned main spring to less then 500 fps for the Canadian market.
