Has anyone ever done that ? I want my G17 slide milled, only black box customs does this in Canada (after my researchs) and it would cost around 750$ to get my dream pistol. There is this company in the usa called Primary Machine, they would do the same job with even an RMR cut and engraving for 400 CAD. They told theyd be happy to mill it for me and send it back but cannot guarantee our custom will let it back in. Id only shipped the stripped slide so no receiver or frame or trigger or barrel or magasine. Anyone has done that before? Or anyone know of another Canadian company that can mill a glock?

ATF has said that they consider such work to be 'manufacturing', requiring a manufacturing license, and the the DOS DDTC has said that they consider such work to be a controlled product, requiring registration of both manufacturer and exporter and licensing of the export. And, it that isn't enough, CBSA has said that they consider such a part to be a new product, taxable at it's new value.

I think Wendell has answered your question.
I do know of someone that sent a colt slide off to the US and now is #####ing because that was 5 yrs ago, and still no slide.
He was " saving money"
