Hey folks, I'm looking for to have my CZ P09 Kadet 22lr milled for an RDS. I've contacted:

Black Box Customs
Dlask Arms
Tactical Ordnance

None of which can do it or at least they are not set up to do that model . Any other companies or gun smiths I should try who do slide milling.
Thanks

Unfortunately you will probably have a tough time finding someone willing to mill that slide, not a common slide for milling and in my experience not many want to stray outside the well known slides for milling. There are also a lot of problems with most .22 slides as far as reliability running a red dot on them, usually not enough recoil to cycle the slide properly. Have you considered trying a rear sight mounted optic plate to see if it will actually even cycle with the weight of a dot on it? That is probably what I would try.

IMO you'll have to find an alternate solution, like some of those mounts that slide into traditional sight cuts. Nobody will program a CNC to run that slide for a single customer.

Is the slide body aluminum or steel? If it’s aliminum (which I assume it is given the caliber), then I would recommend not milling it anyway, because threading into aluminum alloy, T6061 T6 in strength at best, is a bad idea.

I’d too recommend that you get a dovetail mounted red dot plate to install a red dot. It’s also going to hopefully give you more options for mounting footprint.

Cheers

PJ

Just wondering if Joseph has a website or how you get in touch with him? Thanks

Unfortunately I just heard from him today and he is no longer doing it. Might start up later in the year.
Ahh that’s unfortunate. There’s so many places in the states. Very reasonable prices too. Just that they can’t accept any packages from Canada.
