Slide Milling

I’m looking to get my slide milled for an RMR cut, and was just looking for some good recommendations. The two places I’m currently looking at are Black Box Customs and Tactical Ordnance
 
I went with tactical Ordnance, recommend them and don't look back. In the end I had
them refinish my slide. It was an option not mandatory like BBC. It's my pistol I know what
I want....

Just out of interest, what did they charge for the refinishing?

I've done Cerakote loads of times and the price they demand is exorbitant IMO.

They would force you to refinish. While they do good work, they're worried about resell and their name being on it. So they push the cerakote on you. No matter how much you say nope, they wont.

The person I had mill my CZ doesn't do it anymore. But i didnt care to finish my slide. I just slapped some cold blue and called it a day. The finish is worn on it.

The place I took mine charges $150 for a slide. They also bead blast off all the OEM finish and cerakote the entire thing.

This is what I would prefer. Save me the $150 per slide and keep the OEM Glock finish. I'm perfectly capable of cold bluing the exposed metal. It's not rocket science.

In the end, I've already started down this road and have invested a bunch in the optic so I guess I have to suck it up and pay. However they have lost any future business I might have considered with them and if asked I would steer others away from that business. 🤷‍♂️ I am seriously not impressed.

I like my worn finish. I shoot, I could care less about IG corn and their insecurities.
