Purchased a ruger american ranch in 5.56 from Irunguns. Was really excited about this purchase given the current availability of these things.
When I ordered, I called in to specifically ask if irg could inspect the rifle before sending it out. As with most factory applied coatings/finished, they tend to not be done the best, so I asked if they could look over the rifle especially the cerakote before shipping it to me. I was told not to worry.
After I unboxed it, I saw a gouge in the barrel. Then I saw a discoloured finish on the muzzle brake with what appears to be another gouge. I know ruger's quality isn't particularly good but this is on another level.
Shipping also caused kind of a headache. I was told my order would ship on a Wednesday but nothing happened until Friday.
Disappointed on this year's Christmas gift.

Public response from the Management at IRUNGUNS.
We would like to address your grievances publicly given that is the direction you have chosen to take this. Leaving us a one star review and publicly lambasting us prior to even reaching out to the store and letting us know what is going on is not a great way to start. Being that as it mayâŚ
- The notes you left on the order you placed from the .com site asked us to inspect the rifle prior to shipping for imperfections. Every rifle that comes into the building in Arizona is inspected and the serial numbers are verified. That said, with only having the ability to review the pictures in your first post I can see how this was missed.
- Referencing the picture that shows a microscopic imperfection in the coating on the barrel when compared to the top of the picture showing the detail in the stock which even shows detailed casting lines would make that imperfection challenging to find even for the most critical individual.
- As for the end of the barrel, the majority of our staff are seasoned veterans and although they have a methodical approach to inspecting and clearing firearms common sense would dictate along with self preservation no one intentionally looks down a barrel unless they are cleaning it.
Either way, we understand your need for perfection. That said there are two courses of action to bring this to a happy resolution.
I have reached out to Ruger and they are more than happy to supply you with a new brake, thus it was sent out Friday to our AZ store to which we will ship out free of charge once it arrives at the Canadian location. Given you stated owning a vast collection of firearms I would assume you have the tools and confidence to easily replace it.
If you want the barrel addressed the rifle will have to go back to Ruger as per store policy. Kindly fill out the provided RMA and we will put it on the next export truck that heads back to the US. ETA will be approx. the end of February given the next export to Canada is not slated until after Shot Show.
Here is the Store Policy that you agreed to prior to purchasing and checking out on the website.
It states the following:
Return Policy for all Exports to Canada
There will be absolutely no refunds issued for the following items:
¡ Defense articles or firearms that have had a transfer initiated through the CFO or have had an end-user certificate or permit issued.
¡ Export items in transit to Canada from our Arizona location.
¡ Warehouse items in transit to our Arizona location.
¡ Magazines that have been restricted or modified for Canadian compliance purposes.
IRUNGUNS.com services both US and Canadian customers and, as such, your product search results may include items that are prohibited by Canadian law. It is incumbent upon you, the customer, to ensure the items you are ordering are permissible in Canada. Should you mistakenly purchase a prohibited firearm, accessory, or optic from IRUNGUNS.com for export to Canada, you will incur a 25% restocking fee upon cancellation of your order.
We encourage customers to inspect all items in their order for defects immediately upon receipt. Defective items that are covered by a manufacturerâs warranty are eligible for return to the US by IRUNGUNS for up to 12 months from the original date of purchase. After 12 months have elapsed, IRUNGUNS may still facilitate your warranty repair, but any additional shipping and export costs incurred will be paid for by the customer.
In closing, I hope this helps bring clarity to the situation.
Regards,
IRUNGUNS Mgmt.
