Sling for carrying a Black rifle

I use a BFG VCAS on one and earlier this year I finally got around to converting the Norinco/DA556 chinese sling to a clone of the Vickers VCAS sling.

Just cut one or two stitched joints, rearrange the fittings, and turn that confusing chinese sling into something useful.

edit: lol, CGN #'d out G O C's full name

For climbing fencing, cross country skiing or getting up steep ridges where both hands are needed I use the Vito Vellini double sling. Basically a padded biathlon sling.

You can use it on standard sling eyes or put QDs on it depending on firearm. I have used it both ways. It has a "loop" of nylon with velcro end to secure rifle bottom and to prevent flopping.

Otherwise I use a Magpul MS4 Sling

Here it is on the XCR-L with QDs installed and the regular sling swivel screw-in hardware removed

Another vote for BFG padded Vickers.
Bought one for my XCR-L which I primarily use for coyote hunting.....like it so much I'm slowly swapping out ALL of my hunting rifle slings for same.
