Sling Puzzle

Hopefully someone here can help me out with this. I have an old Levy's sling that came on a 2nd hand firearm. I don't know how to set it up properly, or why I would set it up one way versus another. Following are some pics - the last 3 show how I think it goes together, although I'm not sure which end to attach where:

Guys, I appreciate the sentiment, but posting here was not my first inclination. I have searched the web up and down for a sling that looks and/or functions like mine. It is not an M1907 - there are no frogs, just a button snap and Chicago screws.

Looks the same to me - thanks! At least now I can search with more specific terms.

How? Everything is held together with Chicago screws - no frogs.

smokeeter, looks like you and me are the only two on the planet with this sling design. Perhaps there's a reason for that.

I own three of those over lapping pieces of leather.
I guess one needs to go to the scouts or army to figure them out.
I gave mine to my youngest for leather crafts.
Make decent dog collars.
Way too much riggamaroll for me to retain t'ween the ears.
Best I can figure, the fur would be gone by the time I got it
all set up.
