Sling Recommendations For CZ-858

A few years ago I lost my issued sling in a move and then the rifles went prohibited and I didn't shoot my 858, so I didn't exactly miss it. I'm sure it'll turn up a week after I get a new one, but I'm in the market nonetheless and figured that I might as well buy something a little better than a 1950's combloc design if I'm going to be spending money anyway. I just got a SADF Pattern 83 chest rig for my magazines and I'd like to spend the rest of the summer and fall really reacquainting myself with my Czechnology, and I can't do this without a sling.

So! Recommendations? I've been eyeing the Vickers Sling (That'd be Larry, not the WW1-era indestructible Maxim Derivative) and I've actually fired an AR-15 that had one on it years ago and recall liking it. Alas, I don't really remember how it attached to the weapon and I'd like to hear from someone who's tried to put one on a fixed-stock 858. Does it fit well? Does it work well?

I'm open to pretty much any other suggestion, as well, provided it's at least as good as the issued surplus one.

Thanks,

Andy.

VCAS FTW. I don't use anything else. Larry and BFG came up with the simplest and most effective fighting rifle sling on the market. The VCAS is now available with a wire attachment up front for use on AKs and other combloc fighting rifles. I've used a bunch of other slings and the only thing that isn't a blundering mess or basic carry strap in comparison is Magpul's slings.

Cheers, that's what I'm looking for! I've been eyeing the tan one that SFRC has. Question for you, does this hook come with the sling or is it sold separately? I don't see any mention of it on their site.

Thanks again.

I love the Vcas, but it's been a while since I shot a Vz/Cz with a fixed stock

But my VCAS is still attaching at the rear. Should have no problems with yours in a similar position.

Thank you very much, fellows! Looks like this is going to be what I get.

@Butcherbill - thanks, I'm going to get a few more magazines from them so I'll probably pick one up at the same time.

I was using a Specter single point sling on my 858 previously, but have since found the VCAS on my JRC9 more to my liking.
Both work great but also have their pro's/con's.

An other vote for the BFF VCAS.

I'm running a BFG NSN VCAS sling with M16A2 buttstock adapter on my fixed stock Vz58. Looks chunky, but it works great. Fast transition from carry to fire. Grab the butt , swing it over, and rock'n roll!
