sling swivels

my new mossberg 500 came with sling swivel studs.... but no metal bar... or yoke for the sling itself.... is this normal? will any aftermarket sling swivel fit? or are the threads all different? no experience with this one guys, need some advice.... thanks

im guessing you just need a pair of these:

theyre available at any gun shop, walmart or canadian tire for ~$10.
also depends on the sling you get -- some will come packaged with them.

the metal screw stud goes on the end of the shell tube holder, just under the end of the barrel, the wood screw goes in the synthetic stock.

the strap clips come with a strap you buy or an old one you have lying around.
