I was out duck hunting the other day and I think a sling would be very useful. However, I don't have studs on my gun and I don't want studs on my gun. I've found a few examples of what I'm looking for, but I haven't found anything in Calgary yet. I'd like to try it on before purchase but I don't think that will be possible.

Can someone please suggest a product that wraps around the butt of the gun and attaches at the end of the magazine tube. I'd like to purchase it from inside Canada if at all possible, but from the US is ok too.

Last, does this put undo stress on the magazine tube, or does the barrel to a good job of holding everything together.

Thanks

Here is a link to what I'm thinking of.

There is what is called a "shotgun sling", it has a loop on each end. One loop goes around the pistol grip and the other goes around the barrel. It is meant more for carrying than for shooting.

Most slings for pumps and autoloaders attach to the mag tube, there is no problem with that. Without adding a stud, I'm not how to attach a sling to the mag cap.

I have seen shotgun slings that have a boot that goes over the butt plate and then attaches to the magazine cap .however I couldn't say who makes them.you can buy a remington universal mag cap that has a sling stud attached.someplace like wholesale sport may carry the mag cap.

I've seen a few options online. I was just wondering if there was a specific sling someone could recommend. Guess not. Thanks for the help anyway.

Most people use the studs on their long guns, that may be one reason for the responses. Give it another day or so and others may chime in with recommendations.

I've got a "Sportsmans Outdoors Swiftach" that I got locally (Nova Scotia), but I see that Cabelas has them. I like everything about it except that it's curved to suit a right-shoulder carry, and I prefer left. Not a big deal, but only one side is "sticky" to prevent slipping off of your shoulder, so you can't just flip it over.
