Slinging an older Glenfield (Marlin)

So I just got a Glenfield Mod.30A (in other words a Marlin 336), and I love it, even though I have yet to shoot it. However there is one issue I found with it. Nowhere to mount a sling. Would one just put to sling swivels into the forend and butstock? Or is there a special barrel band or end cap version available in Canada? (Hoping to have it in time for the second week of the deer hunt)?

The uncle mikes 336 swivel and stud kit fits the 30a. The rear threads into a hole you drill in bottom of butt stock and front clamps to mag tube. There is no collector value in a 30a so no harm in installing these.

Where is no bullseye on a 30as. Marlin only put those in the walnut stocked rifles.

It's a Glenfield, so no Marlin "bullseye" in the rear stock to worry about.

Some guys drill the plastic bullseye out of the stock and install the rear sling mount there.

Ahh ok, cause I was looking all over my rifle for the "bullseye" and I was sure I was going crazy by not finding one.

Dang, I plum forgot the Glenfield were Bullseye-less.
