I was looking at the ms2 but I know you can't run the ASAP with it so I am not sure if that is still a good choice. I am looking for some thing that can be single or double point. What are you other ubr owners using? Anything to recomend or avoid? Thanks! I would like to get into cqb.

I've got a Blueforce Gear and an 3-point Urban ERT sling for my CQB setup. You just need some QD sling mounts for the Blueforce (you can choose the adapters for the Urban ERT).

Remove the front QD mount.Get a heavy keychain ring. Put it through the hole and then attach your single point sling to the ring. Thats what I did and it works good.

The Vickers allows you to control the muzzle far better than a single point, especially in transition or movement. The design allows a lot of freedom of movement - not quite as much as a single, but very close.

Isn't that 2 point only?

The VCAS itself is, however we have adaptors that allow it to go from 2 to 1 point. One is made for the SCAR so it won't work with the UBR (that I know of yet).

I was told for CQB I should get a single point sling.
(which is why I want one that can be either single or double)

Run the VCAS with a push button into the stock (by the action) then run an ACE rail mounted sling loop on the side rail close to the upper.

This will give you the advantages of a single point sling and the advantages of the two point sling.

Get this package here, which includes the Black Padded VCAS and a Rail Mounted Sling loop. Then just add a push button.

I didn't know this was possible, I ended up going with the split ring idea and putting an ms2 on (once it arrives). If I don't like this set up I will try that vcas the way you are describing it. Thanks for the advice, just wish I saw that last post sooner!

So the solution to make a perfect ambi sling mount for the ubr to best use the ms2. I tried a split ring but found it too flimsy and also feared it would rub, gouge and scratch up the ubr qd mount hole making it impossible to but the qd mount back in if I chose to later.

I went to home depot and bought a variety of links and shackles to see what would work best. I ended up removing the qd mount in the front. You do this by unscrewing the bolt and nut and then lightly tapping it out with a punch.

I then slid the perfect sized anchor shackle in, tightened it, and voila!

I just need to spray paint it or blue it.
