Slippery Sig 226 Slide Serrations

Lol, yea, I tried that at the range the other day, the only thing helping me rack was the rear sight, my fingers still slipped to the back of the serrations though.

I just do not want to develop any extra bad habits as if I ever have to use my duty firearm to save my life (not likely) I don't want to be attempting non-conventional things that I grew accustomed to shooting my range guns. Bad habits on the range, turn into bad habits on the street, or in requal (more likely) for that matter.

I never trained much on the Stamped steel slides, but maybe the serrations are more rounded off? I know all the SIG USA pistols I work on have good slide serrations and none of our guys have issues with grip.

I will have to check out one of the newer ones next time I go the the gun store, I am willing to bet that this issue will not exist with a newer one.
