OK, seasons have been open here in SK for 2 months. Not a lot of hunters around, but...
some a**holes drove thru standing crop, got stuck, 2nd truck came and pulled them out. A real mess of ruts, similar to the Corb Lund song.
smallish 3x3 whitetail dead in the yard, appears to have been shot in the guts with an arrow. You can see for 17 miles here, shouldn't have been hard to find this guy
Nice 5x5 whitetail, maybe a 170 score, left hind leg flopping. Prob. a 50 cal hole in the leg bone. Poorprick could't get out of a fenced 1/4, yet whoever shot him could't find it.
Small buck, forkhorn, dead in the field, 100 yd. from road, 2 bullet holes, 1 in the hip, other in the rear of the rib cage. Boot tracks all around this one. Maybe not as good a buck after the shooting ended, so left for the coyotes. School bus driver called me about this one. Asked if I could remove it from my field, bothering students on the bus.
Am I getting old and crusty or what's up. This kind of crap goes on steady, lazy slobs are getting noticed, guys are posting no hunting so at least the CO's can check out vehicles found on private land. We are all getting painted with the same brush guys. Some self policing is in order before the public perception of hunters gets even worse. Mark
