slow cooker recipe wanted

If anyone wants to make stock broth from moose bones, but is worried about a so called tallow taste or texture, try cooling the concentrated broth. The tallow type fat will harden on the surface and can be removed in chunks. The remaining broth is pure flavor and can be frozen in smaller portions to be added to stews, soups and liquid stock for roasts.

A godd beer bbq sauce marinade always works great.I'm with huntinstuff on the roast though.my fave is build a nice pit of rocks in the morn.and put a nice good fire on top.go fishing and in the aft noon pull the fire and some rocks put the well seasoned moose roast in 2 layers of foil and place on rocks and cover with remain. rocks putcoals over .cook frozen roast perfect in 1 hr 10 min.always a hit on the guys flyfishing weekend.

My wife and I saw a commercial for Guiness beer on TV, she proclaimed it would probably make a good marinade for venison. I've never been able to down that stuff, I guess it's an acquired taste, but marinade? Has anyone ever tried it ???

Probably would work! I was in the camping section of Wholesale sports a couple of weeks ago, and several customers were raveing about some gaget that allows you to put a 1/2 can of beer inside the cavity of a chicken while it cooks on a BBQ.

Have used beer for rotisserie (sp) roast on BBQ. Took about a tin dribbled on the meat every now and then. Everyone got involved. Can not remember how the roast turned out because by the time the beef was done we were well into the beer:D
