Slow processing...

If there are so many problems buying on line, don't buy on line. I have lots of toys and refuse to buy on line due to all the interesting posts regarding the horror show it is dealing with on line purchases. I prefer to walk into a gunshop, talk to the staff and actually see and handle what I am buying.

When you're dealing with inventory levels like this, I give them as much time as they need. Thanks for all you do guys!

Is it an option for local (Vancouver) people to pick up their orders instead of having them shipped?

No. Aside from security issues, that would slow them down even more. Sometimes, I've heard that folks have met up at the HACS shows when Canam is going to be there. I've never done that though.

I ordered the 1911 and case of ammo on February 27. both arrived in Saskatchewan March 13. I do not see anything wrong with how these guys are handling the orders. Plus they kept me up to date with emails every step of the way. Two weeks to get gun processed. CFO transfer and shipped two provinces to me is awesome. Keep up the good work.

Shopping online. Hmm. Not too many years ago, it was "order a catalog", sometimes over the phone, sometimes by snail mail. Receive catalog, (2-4 weeks) place order, sometimes by phone, sometimes by snail mail. (another 2 weeks if snail mail) wait for check to clear, (2 weeks) order shipped, finally received, another 2-4 weeks. So, from ordering catalog to receiving item, 4-8 weeks, or longer depending on item. And happy to get it. Now, online ordering. Hmm. Some dealers are lightning quick, others not so. I recently ordered Polytech M14 (m305)from Vancouver. (I live in Chetwynd, 300 km north of Prince George) Ordered on Wednesday, received on Friday. Through the mail, no less. Another order to a different company in Vancouver, 2 weeks delivery time. One lightning quick, one "watch-the-grass-grow quick". No big deal. So some things take time. Consider the volume that goes through these places; some of these are small "mom and pop" outfits; if they staffed up to where it was same day/next day shipping, that WILL get reflected in the price of the item(s) ordered. Personally, if I want an item from them, I am plenty willing to receive it when it comes, be it fast or not so fast. If I am in a hurry for it, I'll buy it local. And for a lot of things I buy, "local" is 130 km one way to get it. Personally, I don't understand all the flap-doodle over shipping time.:)

Remember, this is just "IMHP" not trying to tell anyone what to do/think/say.

Have a nice day everybody,

Regards,

Sorry to say OP but when a company has a known backlog and a banner on the website indicating delays may be experienced by the purchaser, actually experiencing said delay does not amount to the company treating the customers poorly IMHO. If receiving an item purchased online within a set amount of time is absolutely critical to your peace of mind, Pizza Pizza will make you smile. But hey, don't forget the dipping sauce.

Spend money and have to Wait causes ANXIETY. It is a psychological issue. Once you receive your goods, you will be cured instantly! Just be patient...it is worth the wait...

Is well know that Canada Ammo has the slowest processing and shipping from all the vendors in CGN. I always expect a 2 to 3 weeks waiting time from the day I put an order to the day I will receive it. You have only waited 1 week and are already freaking out? Be patient, you are not even half the wait yet :)

Was able to get a hard to find rifle from CanadaAmmo that no-one else could get in and at a very reasonable price. Yeah, waiting sucks sometimes but when it comes to quality these guys are second to none.

There is an old saying; "Price, Quality, Service.....pick any two."

I am glad we have the option of dealing with a company that will price match any advertised, in stock price, in Canada and include free shipping in that lowest price. I am almost always willing to trade speedy service for quality products at the lowest price. Nothing would pi** me off more that hearing that CanAm has hired a bunch of extra staff to speed up processing time and dropped the price matching and free shipping.

I had to wait a couple of weeks before getting my new DA Terminator, but it was worth the wait. I'm just glad that CanPar delivered it to my home and in good condition. :D

I've ordered a few guns, ammo, and other things from Canada Ammo. They take a little longer than some for processing, but I know that now. Their prices are good, selection is good, and they are great to deal with. Will continue doing business with them.

I just received an 800 round can of .223 less than 2 weeks after I ordered it, plus free shipping. Pretty good!

The last time I ordered from Canada Ammo, they included free targets and a very nice M16 ball point pen, which my teenage son loves! Considering where I live, and the fact that you have to plan ahead here, I like the free shipping aspect instead of huge shipping prices or Sorry, we don't shipammo to where you are! If I want speed, I go to my LGS and pay more, a lot more, that is if they have it in stock! We have now been waiting over 4 months for the LGS to have bulk surplus 7.62x39, and we may have to wait a couple more months or 4. In fact, we have waited so long, that even the store clerks don't exactly know when they will see the ammo. When they do get it, it will go fast, that is for sure!

So in reality, where I live and based on my perception, Canada Ammo is very speedy and they communicate well. 21 days at the worst and about 9 at best, compared to 4-6 months is very fast. And I have no problem hauling those cases away because my kid gets first pick of the freebies included for helping carry it to the truck, and he is anxiously awaiting another ball point M16!

you know your dealing with a decent company when there is a solid 3 pages of customers within a couple days stating nothing but positives about them, with no response from the busy guys running the show at can am, their reputation carries them well.

Another thumbs up for Ammo, they not only matched a competitors price, but then shipped it for free to me! I'm a fan!

I've bought a few restriced things of late and the processing times are just horrible now. nothing to do but suck it up. people can only work so fast. who was it who said" patience is an art, I commend you to its practice"?
meanwhile, buck up, this to shall pass. lol

I ordered from them on the 2nd of march, processed on the 4th, and shipped today...that's not that bad...not even two weeks...

IMO 2 weeks from order to shipped out is not that good at all. 2 weeks from order to shipped and received is good. But with low prices and free shipping they're probably extremely busy.
