Slow Trap, anyone?

Shooting from distances further than 27 has been going on as long as Trap has existed. Annie's, Turkey shoots, etc. Done correctly there is nothing unsafe about it. Backing up from Skeet pads to stretch the distance is common as well. I can't believe where we are heading in the shooting sports !

Absolutely they have and I have participated in such events as well and there is no concern if done within the range layout approval but shot outside the parameters of the field layout could have negative effects should an accident occurr. The big issue is a thing called liability. I am not saying don't have fun but it's probably a wise move to include in your template the various games played and from where the shooting will take place to avoid issues. Due diligence can go a long ways to protecting your butt in the event you are sued. Unlike the games being played range approvals and CFO's are relative newcomers and unfortunately in todays world we have to participate within their rules or suffer the cosequences.
