Slugged the SVT-40's Barrel - Results

Careful measuring of several slugs with the following consistent min/max results, as per the diagram. Bullet size to use for reloading?

For Jacketed bullets, it will probably shoot anything from .311 to .314 just fine.

For cast with a gas check, possibly a .314" may be ok. For plain base bullets, I
would be shooting them at .315"

P.S. Hornady makes a decent selection of .312 bullets, will start with some of those.

Hornady's .312" bullets are excellent choices for any of those "oversize" 30 cal rifles. Dave.
