What are most people shooting for slugs in their IPSC shotguns? Will reduced recoil 2 3/4 slugs cycle properly in a versamax? Don't feel like getting all beat up with hunting rounds if I don't have to. Finally if you make a suggestion let me know where you get them. Silverdale is my club.

Thanks

I use S&B Sport/Low Recoil Slugs. Usually can hit POA @ 100 yards out of my 870 Tactical with irons. Plenty strong to knock over steel and easy on the shoulder.

I bought mine from CRAFM. Don't know if they have any more, but it might not hurt to ask.

Looks like this:

EDIT: Wanstalls appears to have a case in stock: http://www.wanstallsonline.com/sellier-bellot-250rnd-case-2.75-slug-12ga.html

Try SFRC as well.

By far they are the most popular slug for gun games in Ontario right now. Work great.

Couple of others.. Remington reduced slugs (1200 fps) , Winchester LE (1200 fps) Might want to carry to some standard (or hotter) as well,, sometimes you might need some long range accuracy,, eg poppers at 75 yds

My experience is that they work well as long as you keep your gas port really clean. My personal impression is that as the gas port foul, the S&B slug become less reliable when it come to cycling. I've taken to cleanibg the gas port every 200 to 300 round. Since doing that the slugs cycle reliably

Or use a pump... I know it isn't as high speed as a tricked out Benelli M4, but a Mossberg 590 always goes BANG!

OP: yes, I recommend the S&B slugs as well. SFRC has them at a great price.
