A few years back John Noveske designed and built the 450 Noveske on the 300WSM case.
He put iot into a little carbine forr dangerous game use.
I saw so,me pics of the recoil and it was indeed wicked, but very accurate.
I thought I liked the 6.5WSM , but the 6.5SAUM, is a bit more effificient.
The 6.5WSSM however, is just too much fun!!
At one time I was thinking of doing a 35WSM, but that was before the 325.
It's all good, wildcatting is akin to hotrodding cars, all fun.
As far as Hodgon goes, some of our ammo got left open on the sand the other day at he oputpost, and was VERY hot when it went into the rifles, no sweat!
Varget and 30 cal bullets in tight chambers.
SuperCub said:OK, (minor hijack), but wouldn't there be LESS mirage off the water given it would be cooler than the air?
Please explain??

BIGREDD said:Charlie Sisk and Richard Mann have teamed up to create a whole new line of wildcats using the .325WSM case and the .243WSSM case.
The .416 SM2 outperforms the .404 Jeffery... it launches a 325gr bullet at 2600fps, 370gr @ 2425 and a 400gr @ 2380fps....
Howabout that, a Dangerous Game cartridge capable of magnum performance in a Short Action rifle...
The new SM2 cartridges include .375, 9.3, .416 and 458 calibers!
According to Charlie the new SM2 cartridges can all be chambered in short-action rifles with a shorter bolt throw, over-all lengrh and lighter weight. All are available from Sisk rifles and come with pressure-tested handloading data.
Redding now offers dies for some of the new cartridges!
They have also developed SM2 rounds in .30, 8mm, .338 and .35 caliber, and these Super shorts are using the .243 WSSM as the parent case.
Here is a link to some early chatting between Charlie and Richard on another forum. http://64.29.201.168/forum/index.php?showtopic=33

You must be getting some wicked mirage off that water Cat... How far is that target??

I won't denigrate the forum with a "Yawn" that is just retarted.
Noel said:In order for this thread to get further out of hand.......Cat, I've gotta ask, how long does it take to paddle your canoe over there to change the target?
Did you mount a 502 cu.in. Chevy in it for record change times?
Neat idea when you have a hard time finding a long flat range area.
We have too many tree huggin white water rafters riding the waves to get away with it down south.

Thanks, and she's a rough service rig, for sure!Noel said:Right on Cat, that is a sweet huntin rig!

Full on, Cat!!catnthehatt said:Time to take this one to the photo forum guys. ( before I get a time out for highjacking this place!!)
