Some recent additions to my Tapco'd Norinco.

1. Rail guard for the bottom rail. I don't use the bottom rail so I wanted a curved rail cover to sit comfortable in my palm. I got a 4 pack for $12.99 since I wanted to try 3 on another rifle.
I cut this one to size and it is of course removable, in case I choose to use a pistol foregrip I also have.

2. T6/AR buttpad by Tapco. Fits perfectly, just like the box says. Adds comfort and some more black colour to the rifle.

3. NcStar short muzzle brake. This is a pin in brake. Installation was smooth. I was worried I would need to shim it, like I've heard from others. This one went on tight and solid. Came with a longer, replacement pin. Pleased with the quality of it as well. Looks great on the rifle too.

I didn't want to deck out this rifle too much like I see commonly done. These minimal mods really finish off the look I was going for. Simple, custom and effective.

That rifle looks great simple /effective too.A good build sir.I may build this version myself . Could ya give a run down of parts/prices/dealers of how ya done her? I would most likely put on a foregrip and a bipod for my build. cheers!

Thanks guys. I think it's really easy to make the Tapco SKS look too "busy" with accessories.
Which is a look I don't care for.

PM'd surly...

How's the muzzle break? I am thinking about putting one on but there's several to choose from.

So far so good. Haven't fired it with it on yet.
Quality is good. Tight fit too. Needed a little tap to slide on all the way. So that was a good sign. No wiggle or wobble. It's short, but only in comparison to the really long brakes you see. I also wanted the pin on one, it's the only attachment method I trusted.
The end of the barrel looks very thick now, almost silencer like in thickness.

I took mine off tho cause it was just one more peice to clean LOL its for sale if anyone is interested.

hay,, where's that Mark Williams guy to give you an in depth critique of your great looking SKS?

Mine is a pin on brake, no bolts to torque.
