small and versatile sxs. any sugestions?

I'd like o replace the backpacker in 410 with a 20ga sxs.
A coachgun, scatergun, something light and versatile, reliable and cheap....
Did I mention cheap?

Marstar has a norinco Coach Gun series priced at $325 but I find them but ugly. Williams arms has an IGA/Stoger Coach Gun Supreme listed at $450. The nickel one looks like a real Beauty!!!

Look for used Savage 311, CIL, Rossi, etc. in the inexpensive category.

My (very limited) experience with the Savage 311 is that it failed the "reliability" requirement you mentionnned....mine was returned to a very reticent Canadian Tire Dealership after the first weekends use caused it to lock up and resist all attempts to open the action.....fwiw...

I bought an 1100 (then added an 870) and never looked back....
