Went for a quick hunt this afternoon and scored with small ugly looking coyote…
I was setup and ready to begin calling by 4:45… There was hardly any wind at all out there tonight….I called (using hand and ecaller) on and off for 25 mins or so and was getting ready to call it when I see a coyote exit the bush and walk the ridgeline. He stops and looks toward my ecaller which is currently playing coyote distress….. He starts to walk off skylining himself so could not take a shot. I mute the ecaller, try a lip squeak but he is not interested turns, walks away and out of sight. I go to my hand calls as I got a little more control but after 5 mins of trying different things nothing… I think about leaving again when I notice him sitting on the top of the hill looking down at my setup. I get my squeaker call out give a few soft calls but no, he sits there skylined. I continue to try a couple more things and then go silent. Maybe 2 minutes go by and he starts to move down the hill, good now I can take the shot….. He maybe comes down 30 yds or so but begins to veer off, so I wolf him, he stops I am a little unsteady on my shooting sticks (awkward sitting position just could not get comfortable) but decide to take the shot anyway….bang…he starts running…with my scope on 7x ……I try and find him…It takes a couple seconds but do see him in the scope, put the crosshairs out in front of him and when he enter the crosshairs I touch one off and down he goes…. Now looks like my first shot hit him, blood trail to where he ended up so not sure if the second one hit him or not, either way he’s………….. down… :)
Sorry about the crappy photos but my phone/camera kept freezing up, it took quite a while just to get these…

What editing tool are you using for your picture reports? That looks pretty cool, have always liked the way you set those pics up. Way to go on the coyote. One less!!

Thanks....

The program is Microsoft Paint... after a little bit of practice, its becomes pretty easy to do...
