Now I know that you have to complete your hunters safety course but to obtain a small game licence do you need to take a small game course after the hunters safety course????

No. The only 'add-on' course after the hunter safety is the OFAH turkey course. As long as you've passed Hunter Safety you can get anything except a turkey license.

No your all set for small game once you've completed the Hunters Safety Course and test & receive your licence. Turkey is the only species that I know requires an addional course.

Anybody know how to get the outdoors card? Just got to the Ministry of natural resources or I dunno. I wish I could do it online

You go to the MNR with your passed hunter education test results. They give you a little card to fill out, you pay for the card you want. You can get a card for $6 then buy small game licence at canadian tire/etc every year for around $20, or you can buy a 3 year small game/fishing card for $129

So once I get my hunting licence from a MNR, then i go to Crappy tire and get the Outdoorcard?? Sounds clear and good.

I was also wondering, I have a small MNR close to me that issues fishing license and stuff which is located in a Provincial park, can I go here to get my hunting license?

Thanks

Nope; the other way around.

You get your outdoors card from the MNR ($6) Plus you can buy a licence --1 or 3 year at the same time).

OR you can just get the outdoors card from the MNR and then go to Crappy tire to get a licence (a validation sticker to put on the back of your card).

When i got mine I already had my fishing outdoors card so when i went to the MNR office in chatham ontario the waived the 6$ fee for the outdoor card, and they also waive the 10$ fee for them to process it there rather than me mailing it away for ppl getting thier card for the first time. so all i was left to pay was the 18. and change for the small game sticker lol it was nice:D:rolleyes:

When you take your Hunter's Safety Course information to the MNR they'll give you your temp license (before they send you your card in a few months). You can buy tags for that license at that time or get them later.

As was stated before, your Turkey license is the only one that requires an extra course. If you get your Turkey license, you will get a gold 'T' on your outdoors card when it comes, or on your next issued outdoors card.

Take the Turkey Course...bring coffee...or a pillow...your choice...you're going to need either one.

It sucks you can't get it online or else I would already have it. Now I have to take time off work to get it since it closes around 4:30 and I get off work at 6-7

Pretty much. And here's how it worked for me:
I passed the hunter's safety course and took my paperwork to the local MNR office in Peterborough. I asked for the 3 year small game and the 3 year fishing (since my fishing was expired anyway), but they told me I could only get the one year for each at this point, plus you don't get a card for your first year, just a piece of paper with the stickers on it.
BUT...
They told me to call the MNR "central office" (...?) and with a credit card I could prepay for the second and third year prior to getting my actual plastic outdoors card at the end of this year and it would cover the next two and... bloody hell, I've just gone crosseyed...
