I have small hands, my surf gloves are size small if that helps. I am not sure if I am going to buy a Ruger MkIII when my lisence arrives or a HKP30L but would these be an ok fit or are they too large?

Go to your local gun shop and try a few pistols on for size. The HK may be too big and will be a great deal more expensive to buy and to shoot than a Ruger Mk III. Try a Browning High Power for size.

Don't forget to try out the guns with changeable grips (try and get the guy at the gunshop to pop the small grips on for you) like the Walther P99 and the M&P. Oh yeah, and the 1911 it's amazing how well that gun works for everyone.

I am not sure that you have smaller hand than me. small size glove is still too big for me. I had hard time to find a gun fit me when I start out but any how I found the grip size didn't really a matter for me but the trigger reach is more important. There are M&P, Glock has short trigger reach but you still need to fire the gun to know if it fit you or not. Every gun feel nice when you handle in a gunstore.

The P30L is a nice piece of kit. It probably is the most adjustable grip around(both side panels and grip heel). It is pricey but it would serve you quite well. The ruger is decent but may not leave you with a full size pistol experience.

My sons fired my Ruger when they were 8 years old and my wife fires it so you should be fine. Don't know about the HK. They also fired my BHP (with help to manage the recoil).

Haha good one hollowpoint. I thought it had to do with how lifted your truck is?Ya not sure if I should go with the 9mm or the .22 rugar, but they both seem they would fit me well, thanks guys.

if into a ruger, try handling a 345 if available at local gun store or at the club, well made for small hand shooters for a full size 45 auto., imho

For what it's worth, I have very small hands myself but I haven't yet come across a gun that I absolutely can't handle because of the grip size. Sure, some of'em I might never be able to shoot as well as I could if I had bigger hands (thinking of my N-frame revolvers in particular), but it's never been a "deal-breaker" if you know what I mean.

I can't afford a .45. It is between a .22 and a 9mm. I am leaning towards a 9mm. I can get a .22 later.... Too many choices.....

I have very small hands, the 1911 is at the limit of my reach. I can not shoot the Glocks, I can't get my finger on that trigger safety. The 9mm Norinco 213 fits me perfectly, It is my favorite pistol. CanAm is selling it for $99.

I have small hand syndrome too. I went to P&D today and tried holding the HK USP and Glock 20. I found both rather large but I am not sure if I will have problems shooting them or not. The HK while thick was kinda stumpy I thought as I have large palms but really short fingers. I ordered a Glock 20 from Wolverine a few days ago so I hope I can shoot it comfortably.

Some good small hand guns.

1911 especially with thin grips
P7M8
HK P2000, Walther P99...both have various back straps

HK P30L, most adjustable grip you're likely to find.

I tend to shoot best with crease of finger on trigger vs. pad so I ended up putting the small grip on my P99 and P2000.
