just wondering if there is any consensus out there about how decoys to put out for ducks in smaller marshes say 5-10 acres...i am assuming that you dont want too many but how many is too many?
thanks for any input!

I use about 20-25 depending on my mood. Not saying it is right or wrong... just what I use.

I have seen as many as 50-100 birds in a small body of water when conditions are right so I don't think decoy numbers can get too high, unless you go nuts.

Set up according to the number of birds that are generally there.

Best advice you can get for duck hunting is right there. Just listen to the ducks, they'll tell you what you need to know.

We use 12-18 decoys along with a couple of feeding ducks and a remote contolled MOJO. Make sure you give them plenty of room to land.
This setup has always given us the opportunity to harvest our limit, Unfortunately we (me:D ) don't always hit what we shoot at.:p
Must be them shells:rolleyes:

thanks for the input
