I've tried them both, no difference, but those small-primed pieces of brass are a pain since no matter how careful I am when sotring my brass, there's always one that manages to get through.
I' prefer using the large primed brass, which is more common. The only advantage I could about the small-primed it that I wouldn't have to switch the primer system off my Dillon that often.
Get into the habit of glancing at the headstamp on each piece of brass before you place it into the size/decap station. Saves you some grief eventually, even with other calibers.......
Pretty hard to do for a progressive press.
I check and segregate before cleaning, and even then some get through.
Not hard at at all! I pick up a piece from the bin with my right hand while placing the bullet in the seating station with my left. By time the bullet is placed on the charged case, my right has the empty case turned so the headstamp is facing me. A quick glance, and into the size/decap station it goes. Does'nt slow you down at all.
Joe easier to toss the damn stuff. I have found no difference in velocities but to load some .45acp using small primers and some with large is more handache than I need.
Take Care

I have a Dillon 1050 with a casefeeder and I load the feeder with a grain scoop.
