Any one know where you can get small pistol primers in the g.t.a
epps is out, simmons has only small pistol mag primers.these things
are like gold. I'd prefer federal, but right now i'll take about anything.

Thanks

is it safe to use small rifle primers instead of small pistol i have heard of guys doing that any one know how safe it is ??

I'm not going to say whether it's safe or not but they'll fit and fire. Is this for a revolver?

It all depends on what kind of gun and which caliber you are shooting them out of. For most 9mm loads and Magnum revolver loads you should be fine with SR primers. For light PPC loads and such, you might have to adjust your load.

The difference is how they light the powders. Some rifle powders won't light good with SP primers but will be ok with SR or SPMag primers. You might gain about 25fps.

Safe is relative. If you are loading at MAX loads, I would reduce it some.

small rifle primers in a pistol

I don;t have a 223 anymore so I used up most of my small rifle primers in my revolver . I even phoned winchester and asked buddy if I could use them and he said well I don;t think so . so I researched the subject and from what I found out is small rifle and small pistol are the same size primers . and I have never had a problem . at all . I purchaced some seller and Bellot primers and the boxes say SP or LP . they state thier primers are either for pistol or rifle . they don;t have seperate types . one or the other .
