Hi,
I've bought a lot of fired brass, mix of 4 or 5 manufacturers. When I started to reload I realized that some cases don't accept large pistol primer because the primer pocket diameter is smaller. Does it mean that some .45 brass designed for small primer? Or those cases are just dameged and need to be disposed?
Thanks.

I just happened to chroney a batch of .45acp loads today.:)

230gr fmj RN over 4.5gr of Bullseye.
One batch using Fed. large pistol and one batch using fed. small pistol primers.

No measurable difference in Average veloc.

I shoot them all the time. Just sort them accordingly. Although I load with a turret press using batch method, I would think it would be a problem for those progressive press users. Most people don't bother with them so it's more brass for me!

it's really no big deal- just seperate the lot and change your primer feed- or use the 9mm ( which everybody has/should have) with a 45 head and shellplate- i switched to small primers about a couple years back- no need to cahnge anythig as far as powder or bullets is concerned
