Smaller Moose Down!

Here's what we wound up with, not including head & hide, which we still have. Only thing left in the bush was the bottom legs.
110lbs of waste(dog food) the dried meat and crap we cut off.
86lbs of roast
60lbs ground
30lbs stew chunks
6lbs of tender loin
11.5 of sirloin
19lbs of rib eye
3lbs of eye round??? Steak
2.5lbs flat iron steak

I tossed the bottom legs after I cut em off. The dogs would've love the moose knuckle! All the waste and bones are getting frozen and fed to the shooters dogs.
We tried a piece of tender loin on the BBQ with sat & pepper and yea, it's pretty damn good!

SJ - thanks for the breakdown. I reckon we might be around the same yield with ours. Well, hoping that is. Question, did you have to pack meat across the sketchy bridge!

Super jealous! Congrats on the fine young bull, I can almost taste the roasts already!

Good thing you didn't need to go back and forth on that rickety old bridge, and cool find with the bullet! I've only ever recovered a couple myself, they get mounted on the plaque with the antlers!

No, we didn't have to contend with the crappy bridge. That area was a few miles to the west.
The bullets were pretty cool to find. We also got the two empty shells. The trigger puller was so jacked up, he didn't even care until the next day!
I think I'll try some stew concoction tonight.
