Smaller than small primers

I have a bunch of small primers .1520 diameter, does anyone know what cartridge these were for? there is a small pistol primer in pic for comparison.

This is an uneducated guess. Years ago some shot shell reloaders actually replaced the primers in the battery cups of shot shell primers. If I recall correctly, yours are that size.

After some searching and reading it seems like this size of primer was designated #1 and was used in marlin safety ammo (made by Winchester)for their lever actions, the small size was supposed to be safer in tube style magazines....

I wonder if that is what FN used in the 5.7x28mm. IIRC they use a primer smaller than small pistol/small rifle
