No mention of class either, I think some dectonics combatmasters are in select hands.

The SAM Tiatn is pretty small and in stock restricted. Wouldn't be hard to shorten the grip if you were inclined.

Best bet is to have someone skilled cook up a CCO for you - Commander slide on an Officers frame, if you're really committed to the concept. As for easily available guns, I'm not a big fan of Kimber but the Kimber Pro Carry has a 4 inch slide with an extended barrel

Indeed, I purchased the SAM Titan 1911 .45 ACP. As you see in the picture, I added Crimson Trace Laser Grips to it. The gun shoots, to my surprise, very, very well and accurate. Getting back on target was no issue. The Laser grips? Well, call it home defense intimidation... Get the laser dot on target, and one last chance for your home invader to leave.

Important, though, is to first remove the slide and oil. Out of the box, it will jam.

In the USA, the Shooters Arms Manufacturing gun comes with a flush barrel, BULL 3 1/8 ”, 416 STAINLESS. For the Canadian market via Wolverine Supplies special, the 4.25 inch (I believe) barrel sticks out beyond the frame.

Ok, haters will dismiss the SAM as a unproven brand from the Philipines. My purchase confirms the tight CNC build, for a fraction of name brand offerings.

Wolverine also has a 9mm stainless variant.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 1911 built in the Philippines - that gun has an amazing following there. It's probably the second biggest market in the world for 1911's, with a large and very knowledgeable user base and custom 'smiths that do amazing work with hand tools and little else. Filipinos probably shoot more 45 auto a year than anyone but the Americans too, bad guns won't last long in that market.

Para CCW LDA

The Para Ordnance CCW LDA has a 107mm barrel on an officers frame and is restricted.
I purchased this gun in 2004 when Paras were made in Canada. It has a bobbed hammer and rounded beavertail.

Yeah, too bad it's a Para. Although to be fair, yours was probably made when they gave a ....darn. The recent ones have poor finish, poor QC and poor to no warranty.
