Smallest frame .22 Handgun

IRUNGUNS has a 22 single action revolver that goes by the name of Earl.
It's about half the size of your standard 22 revolver, you'll probably be paying 3-400 to get it.
As for a semi I would suggest a Norinco m93- woodsman, they've been running 175 on EE
I shoot the norinco one handed because it's so small....and I have tiny hands

Thanks everyone. I took a run down to the local Gatineau gun shop, and they had a couple guns in stock.

Sig Mosquito - Felt nice to her, seemed to fit ok. I like that it felt pretty solid, comfortable, definately an option.

Walther P22 - This gun is ridiculously small. In all honesty, my wife felt that it was too small or her. Even me holding it, it seemed to be made for a 5 year old. I really do like it though!

I am holding off until I can check out a Ruger SR22, and a Browning 1911-22 A1. Unfortunately, the odds of me finding all of these 4 guns in the same place are a bit unlikely. The hunt begins...

If she wouldn't mind a revolver, try a ruger bearcat. They're TINY. My 8 year old son can hold/grip properly.

The SR22 from Ruger is, thanks to a too-short barrel, prohibited in Canada. Even if you have a 12-6 endorsement on your RPAL, it can't be imported (dammit all!!! grrrr.....).

I would stay away from the Mosquito. I've heard FAR too many horror stories about it, cracking slides, constant jamming, etc. Not a good choice IMO. The wife will be more frustrated with it if she's got to unjam it every few rounds.

A Browning Buckmark might be a good choice for your wife, if you can find one she can test out. Other than that, I think your best option might be to check out the Browning 1911-22 (and pay the price  ) or other similar-sized pistols. Browning did shrink everything on thier 1911-22 by about 20%, everything that is except the trigger guard size.

Good luck!!!

The Sig Mosquito is a POS. Get yourself a M&P22 when they come available. Or the Colt 1911-22, Browning 1911-22 or a used S&W 422,622,2206.

I was tempted by a Beretta M71 last weekend. Very small pistol, this particular one had a long 'target' barrel, was about $400 I believe. My Vostok Margolin is very slim around the grips, girlfriend really likes that one.

Lan.

Either one would be far superior to the Walther P22. A friend had the slide blow apart while he was shooting it! Pieces of the alloy hit him in his face.

Avoid the sig Mosquito and the Walther P22 like the plague. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the Beretta Neos: I held one once and I still dream about how good it felt in my hand. It's a tad too much Buck Rogers for me, but it sure felt good, and I have small hands.

This is the rimfire handgun that Calgary Shooting Centre has available for in-store rental. My daughter had no complaints about it. The controls seem to be very well positioned too.
