smallest legal .22 rifle?

What is the smallest .22 rifle one can buy? Looking for a tiny backpack rifle that will take up as little space and weight as possible,hopefully not too expensive.

I dunno what is the smallest, but the survival rifles pack up nice and tiny, there is a few on the market, papoose and Ar-7 come to mind.

There are a few tiny youth rifles too.

Years ago there was a model called the Chipmunk.....I think specifically for kids, What I remember it was pretty small.

Restricted.

Even if you put a 32" barrel on it, it would be restricted. Once a pistol, always a pistol.

BUT!

It does mean hi-cap mags in a pistol, so it's not all bad.

Take a Ruger Charger barrel and mount on the 10-22 carbine . ( assuming you still meet the 26 inch requirement?) don't know if you can buy the charger barrels separately yeyt though.
