Smallest scope for a rimfire

I've got a chiappa little badger. I put a red dot on it and it's actually quite accurate at short distance, but I'd like to put scope on it. Something like a 4x fixed..... even a 2x fixed.

So the question is:
What is the smallest scope that I can buy (new or used). And I'd like a bit of quality with it as I'd be using in bad weather for hunting...... conversely I'm not rich either. So 100-300 bucks should be the ballpark.

I tried similar - was for a CZ Scout - I wanted a smallish 4x rimfire scope - not a centerfire scope - not a variable - but with one inch body - I ended up getting a Leupold FX-1 4x28 - you can look up the specs on-line - seems to be what I wanted for "small" - was fairly healthy price though - not even going to try to guess what might be available these days, in your price range.

If you do not care or worry about parallax error, is many folk locally who installed older centre-fire Weaver or Bushnell's on their .22's and will tell you that they are great.

Here is a link to a thread that I started on CGN when I was looking - can scan through the replies that were posted back then (Ha! - "back then" was all of the summer of 2020!!)

I just installed an Eagle compact scope (larger than this one) but the Eagle quality and clarity is really great for the cost.

T-Eagle SR 2X28 Tactical Rifle Scope Red Green Reticle Airsoft Riflescope Outdoor Sport Hunting Optics Shooting Glock Gun Sight from AliExpress.

Try to find a "baby' Redfield scope made in Denver CO they are 3/4" but so clear and fit smaller rifles perfectly. You won't regret finding one for any small rifle that's going to be carried for plinking or for short to mid distance hunting like grouse. At the same time that Redfield made these nice small scopes, they also made one for Browning. It has much sleeker lines but absolutely the same quality. It's very hard to find one of those. I have both and they are worth the search for the purposes mentioned here and their looks on small rifles......They aren't for bench rest tho.

Check the EE for an M-8 Leupold in a 2 power....
Shouldnt be hard to find.

I have a Simmons 4x32 fixed scope excellent eye relief and clear (bought four of them) don't let the budget friendly price fool you for quality - the money you save you can buy perhaps 1/2 tank of gas

I put a cheap aim 4X scope (came with a TNW ASR) on my little badger, works well but you will need a cantilever mount of some sort to get the optic back over the rear sight.

TNW sells the 4X Aim scopes separately for $25US but I wouldn't be surprised if you can find on on the EE as most people switch it out for something else on the ASR's.

I bought one of these UTG offset mounts on amazon a couple years ago but they are currently unavailable. It works well and you can even use the peep sight looking through the hole in the mount.
