smallest unrestricted rimfire rifle

I am looking for as small and light of .22 or 17 as I can find.what is a good reliable rimfire that is close to 26 inches over all and very light.I would prefer bolt or lever if a big weight difference is there I would consider single shot.what do you guys know about.

Mini bolt is a very nice gun. But if you are looking for a bush gun than you better go for something more powerful becasue you will never know what is inside the bush. Another good choice for a small .22 rifle is a cute little chipmunk.

Hmmm. Small, light and cheap? Sounds like a job for an old Cooey! I've seen like 3 or 4 of them for sale in the EE lately. If buying used doesn't appeal to you, my first choice would be a Marlin 795;

Overall length is 37", weight is 4.5 lbs. Retails for $140-ish, from SIR mailorder.

The Henry Survival rifle retails for $189 from SIR. The Camo version is something like $20 more. If you do end up ordering something from SIR, call them up and order over the phone, since they end up calling you anyway when you make an order over the 'net. Good luck!

nine is right, i have seem the mini .22 before. It is the SMALLEST thing i have ever seen!!! I am going to buy a couple when my kids get older!

I also have a Ruger 10/22-great little rifle but not small. My old lady wants a
Henry AR-7 for a survival rifle and a pack gun when camping. Nothing else out there quite like it. Russells and Wholesale do not list-only found a black one at SIR. Floats and packs-perfect. Gonna get me one.

Had an old Cooey semi but they tend to need cleaning. Mechanism started to slow down after 30-40 rounds of CIL ammo. Bought it cheap cause the guy couldnt get more than 10 rounds without it sticking. Took it apart and tidied up inside and that was better but never was a rifle you could pound out r
rounds like the 10/22. The Ruger loves to play and is not fussy. Stainless too.
