The real joy of collecting milsurp's is not accumulating rifles.... its about accumulating knowledge and history about those rifles.
And by loosing Smellie we lost a huge part of what this hobby is about... passing on this knowledge.
I never had the privilege of talking with him but i remember waiting for his comments with great excitement and interest.
