Smellies favorite gun ?

.
I'm staying out of this one, I know too much.

But, food for thought ---how about a 76 mm on a Sherman Firefly? And, nobody has mentioned the Maxims! Don't discount a Remington .44 from Custer's Last Stand either, it is real.

(That will up Tinman204's list a bit.)

Another path to follow. SMELLIE has a Degree in History. He also likes Ross rifles. Combine these, and you get a ----------- HMS Canada 1910 Ross rifle.

Its obviously a Magpul Accessorized AR15 with red tiger stripe camo paint.

Nope, them's his shorts! :p

Here's hoping he's not in the sock closet again, and my vote for the Ross as Smellie's favorite rifle.

In the event that some "Richard" has put Smellie in the sock closet...who is Buff dog's designate to slip a pizza under the sock closet door? Buff Dog, you did appoint a designate did you not!?

well the sock closet is a possibility,

I sent him a enfield in the mail last week (1924 RSAF Enfield production) he may be examining it, its an uncommon date.

Get him to check the left rear of the bolt way, the last 1924 RSAF Enfield i saw was built using a old NRF action.

No markings that I saw would indicate a NRF. Its an odd old bird, but smellie will wring out the history.

and smellies favorite is either the bren or the ross.

There was nothing to indicate a NRF on that one other than the NRF at the rear, it had correct Crown & markings for a RSAF Enfield & was a MkIII with cutoff.
Who knows, Enfield may have used old receivers in 1924 & just mentioned it as it something to watch out for & we don't see to many 1924 Enfield made SMLEs

Go onnnnnnnnn..........
