Smelter lead in Cowtown

Got an okay deal on pure lead in Calgary today.
Canada Metal has a pretty good deal on it. Picked up its a third of what Western Metals was asking.

A local got ahold of me and would take the whole lot if I'd part with it, it can un 7-9 lbs for pure lead. This stuff is so pure I twisted a 'link' on the chain 8 complete wraps before it parted, it's like taffy

I've been buying all my lead on e-bay by the 50-65lb box. The price of the lead plus shipping, import duties and exchange rate comes out to be around $0.13 per ounce, still cheaper than buying it locally. The lead can range from range scrap to pure lead from flashings. It's usually listed in the ads.

Check it out, search "lead ingots" on e-bay, lots of results and great prices.

Just found this thread. Very Interesting. I had called them in the past and they said they would not and did not sell.

CanadaMetal has always been good to deal with, especially when you want a specific alloy. So much less screwing around to buy pre alloyed lead from them.
