SMG Sling ID needed

Thought it might be for a Sten or variant but the strap is a full one inch wide plus the hardware is different.

Any ideas?

Interesting....I was thinking Patchett / Sterling / Lanchester, but as you say, hardware looks different....Anyone else..?

Its off a Smg, seen a few in Cdn army in the early and mid 60,s they were changed to green color in the 1960,s. but we still had some of the pre war and post war one,s around.

Should be for a SMG, but it's not the standard Sten or Sterling one. Sten has an open curved loop on one end and the Sterling one has a very large brass snap hook.

Considering that everybody and his dog (wherever the Empire reigned) used Stens post war it could come from just about anywhere (Israel/Pakistan/India/Oz/NZ/Europe..........)

With a loop and clip combination? Don't think so...

Fits my Dewat well enough altho the d-ring won't pass thru the holes in the grip or the butt if so desired.
