Smith and Wesson 1500 Deluxe 30-06 Value?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone new the value of a Smith and Wesson Model 1500 Deluxe in 30-06?
Any ides would be much appreciated.

Aren't the S&W's Howas? SO, depending on condition and model, around $400????

Would be the S1 type Howa/Vanguard trigger and safety I think, deluxe would have wood. New Howa/Vanguard are $1000+ with wood, so $600 would not be crazy.

Condition is important, but I've seen them for around $600.00 in nice shape.

They may have gone for $600 new back then. The rifles have probably aged better than the dollars.

Back in the early '80's the S&W (Howa built) rifles sold new for about $350.00 new. Apparently they were a better investment than silver.
